Step 1 of 8

Hi, I'm the MedPaw dose helper. Let's see how MedPaw compares for your dog.

First, roughly how big is your dog?

In this article

Quick answer: the biggest problem with ArthriAid is that there's almost nothing to go on. We found just three ratings across every UK site we could check, none on the brand's own shop and none on Trustpilot. On top of that, all three sizes of the Omega liquid were sold out on Swedencare's UK shop, there's no money-back guarantee, the liquid is built on sorbitol and dextrose, and the range has no green-lipped mussel or Boswellia. The few ratings that do exist are positive, but three ratings can't tell you whether it will help your dog. If you want something you can judge risk-free, we'd recommend trying MedPaw Hip & Joint Chews instead: a soft chew dogs take like a treat, with all six key joint actives and the main amounts per chew on the label, a subscription you can pause or cancel any time, and a 60-day money-back guarantee with nothing to send back.

Transparency note: this page is written by MedPaw, which makes a competing joint supplement. Reviews are summarised in our own words with links so you can check them. Ratings, stock and policies were checked on 8 October 2026.

The most common ArthriAid complaints and drawbacks

ArthriAid is a NutriScience joint range owned by Swedencare (the company behind ProDen PlaqueOff), sold in the UK as the Omega liquid and the HA Powder. We didn't find a single negative review of it, because there are hardly any reviews at all. So instead of inventing complaints, here are the drawbacks we could verify on the brand's own pages and stockist labels.

ArthriAid drawbacks we could verify (checked 8 October 2026)

Complaint or drawback How often What we found
Almost no reviews Every site we checked Three ratings in total: one on zooplus and two on a specialist stockist. None on Swedencare's UK shop or Trustpilot
Out of stock All three Omega sizes 250ml, 500ml and 1 litre all showed as sold out on Swedencare's UK shop, and the HA Powder showed an out-of-stock message
No money-back guarantee Brand policy Returns only in original packaging within 14 days, refunded minus postage
Sugar-based carriers Both products Sorbitol is the first ingredient in the Omega liquid, with dextrose third; the HA Powder is a dextrose base
Narrower formula Whole range No green-lipped mussel or Boswellia; hyaluronic acid only in the powder
Confusing feeding guide Some stockists Swedencare's current guide goes up to 20ml a day, while some stockists still show an older guide capped at 15ml

"Very few reviews" means you can't tell if it works

The zooplus listing for the Omega liquid has one 4-star rating, and the only written review we could read was on zooplus's European site. Supplement Solutions shows two ratings with no visible text. Swedencare's own UK shop shows none, and Swedencare's Trustpilot page has no reviews. We couldn't access Amazon UK or Viovet.

    What's actually in the bottle

Stockist labels list per 5ml of the Omega liquid: 600mg glucosamine HCl, 240mg chondroitin, 250mg MSM and 250mg omega-3, of which only 10mg is EPA and 15mg DHA. Despite the "Omega" name, that's a very small amount of the two omega-3s with the most research behind them. The fish oil also contains milk-derived caseinate and soy protein, there's no allergen statement, and the source of the glucosamine isn't stated. Swedencare's own product page lists the ingredients without amounts.

    The guarantee catch

There isn't one. Swedencare UK's product pages say you can return an item "in its original packaging within 14 days for a full refund minus postage", and its refund policy says dispatched orders are returned at your expense. Neither covers a bottle you've opened and tried on your dog.

Why ArthriAid customers switch to MedPaw

MedPaw Hip & Joint Chews differ from ArthriAid on exactly the points above.

ArthriAid vs MedPaw on the drawbacks above

    The complaint ArthriAid MedPaw
Getting your money back No guarantee; unopened returns within 14 days, minus postage 60 days from delivery, for any reason; email us and keep the tub
Measuring it out Liquid by the pump or powder by the scoop, mixed into food Soft chicken and bacon chew, given from your hand like a treat
A broader formula Glucosamine, chondroitin and MSM, plus fish oil (liquid) or hyaluronic acid (powder); no green-lipped mussel or Boswellia All six key joint actives, with the main amounts per chew on the label: MSM 185mg, glucosamine 170mg, chondroitin 70mg, green-lipped mussel 70mg, Boswellia 30mg, plus hyaluronic acid
Regular deliveries No subscription on Swedencare's UK shop Pause, change or cancel any time from your account, or just email us

Our recommendation: if you can't find ArthriAid in stock, you're uneasy buying something with almost no reviews, or you'd rather give a treat than measure out a liquid, switch to MedPaw. Swap rather than stack: stop ArthriAid and start MedPaw the next day. Give it six to eight weeks, and if you're not happy, email us within 60 days and we'll refund you. Try MedPaw Hip & Joint Chews.

    ArthriAid's rating, in context

ArthriAid doesn't really have a rating. When we checked on 8 October 2026 it had one 4-star rating on zooplus, two ratings shown as 100% on Supplement Solutions, and nothing on the brand's own shop or Trustpilot. Three ratings, one of them from outside the UK, can't tell you how most dogs get on with it, so any "highly rated" claim you see should be read with that in mind.

To be fair to ArthriAid, the one written review we could read was positive, from an owner who has used it for years on an active sports dog, and it gives more glucosamine and chondroitin per dose than many joint supplements.

If nothing has worked so far

If your dog is still stiff or sore after a fair trial of any supplement, see your vet. They may suggest pain relief, weight loss or an omega-3 fish oil at a proper dose, which has the strongest evidence for dogs with arthritis. Read what you can safely give a dog for joint pain and the best fish oil for dogs' joints.

    Our verdict

ArthriAid has almost no review record, patchy stock on the brand's own shop, no money-back guarantee and a formula that leaves out green-lipped mussel and Boswellia. You'd be buying on the label alone, with no way to get your money back if it doesn't suit. If that doesn't sit right with you, MedPaw is the alternative we'd recommend. For more background, see our guides to what the research says about glucosamine and chondroitin, green-lipped mussel for dogs and what to do when a dog won't take joint supplements.

What are the most common complaints about ArthriAid?

We found no negative reviews, because there are only three ratings across the UK sites we could check. The drawbacks we could verify are stock (all three Omega sizes were sold out on Swedencare's UK shop), no money-back guarantee, sugar-based carriers (sorbitol and dextrose), and no green-lipped mussel or Boswellia.

    Is ArthriAid any good?

There isn't enough review evidence to say. The label offers 600mg glucosamine, 240mg chondroitin and 250mg MSM per 5ml of the liquid, but very little EPA and DHA, and no green-lipped mussel or Boswellia. If you want to judge a supplement on your own dog without risking your money, MedPaw has a 60-day money-back guarantee.

    Is ArthriAid out of stock?

When we checked on 8 October 2026, all three sizes of ArthriAid Omega (250ml, 500ml and 1 litre) showed as sold out on Swedencare's UK shop, and the HA Powder showed an out-of-stock message. It was still listed by stockists such as zooplus and VetUK.

Can I get a refund on ArthriAid?

Only if it's unopened. Swedencare UK accepts returns in the original packaging within 14 days, refunded minus postage. We found no money-back guarantee for a product you've tried. MedPaw's guarantee lasts 60 days from delivery and you don't need to send anything back.

What's the best alternative to ArthriAid?

If you want a supplement you can judge risk-free, in a format your dog takes like a treat, we'd recommend MedPaw Hip & Joint Chews. They contain all six key joint actives, including the green-lipped mussel and Boswellia that ArthriAid doesn't have, and come with a 60-day money-back guarantee.

Can I switch from ArthriAid to MedPaw straight away?

Yes. Stop ArthriAid and start MedPaw the next day. There's no need for a gap, and you shouldn't give both. Check with your vet first if your dog takes any medication.
