Quick answer: Hilton Herbs' dog joint products are herbal blends you measure into food: Mobility Support is a powder with MSM, bamboo extract, devil's claw, meadowsweet, yarrow and ginger, and Senior Dog Gold is a liquid of herbal tinctures for older dogs. Neither publishes the amount of any ingredient, neither contains glucosamine, chondroitin, green-lipped mussel, hyaluronic acid or Boswellia, and Hilton Herbs only refunds unopened tubs. MedPaw is a soft chew with all six key joint actives, the main amounts per chew on the label and a 60-day guarantee. For most dogs, we'd recommend MedPaw Hip & Joint Chews, especially if you want to know what your dog is getting in each dose.
Transparency note: this page is written by MedPaw, which makes a competing joint supplement. Hilton Herbs' details come from its own website, and we report only what it publishes; we make no claims about what its herbs do. We've said clearly where Hilton Herbs might suit your dog better. Everything was checked on 8 October 2026.
MedPaw vs Hilton Herbs at a glance
Hilton Herbs sells four dog mobility and senior products. We've compared MedPaw with the two most relevant: Mobility Support, its joint-focused powder, and Senior Dog Gold, its liquid for older dogs. Senior Dog is the dry version of Senior Dog Gold, without the apple cider vinegar.

Hilton Herbs details from its Mobility Support and Senior Dog Gold pages and refund policy, checked 8 October 2026.
Where Hilton Herbs falls short
You can't see how much is in it
Hilton Herbs names its ingredients but publishes no amounts, so you can't tell how much MSM is in a scoop of Mobility Support, or how much devil's claw is in a ml of Senior Dog Gold. MedPaw prints the main amounts per chew on the label: MSM 185mg, glucosamine 170mg, chondroitin 70mg, green-lipped mussel 70mg and Boswellia 30mg, plus hyaluronic acid.
A different kind of formula
Apart from MSM in Mobility Support, Hilton Herbs' products contain none of the six actives most joint supplements are built on, and Senior Dog Gold spreads its aims across circulation, liver, kidneys and digestion as well as joints. If you want glucosamine, chondroitin, green-lipped mussel, hyaluronic acid and Boswellia, Hilton Herbs doesn't offer them.
Measuring every day
Mobility Support and Senior Dog are measured with a 2.5ml scoop, and the Gold liquids by the ml, ideally split between two meals. The feeding guides also skip some weights: the liquids give no amount for dogs of 30 to 40kg, and the powders none for 40 to 50kg. A MedPaw chew is given whole from your hand, with a clear amount for every weight.
Almost no reviews, and no refund once opened
We found only three retailer reviews of Hilton Herbs' dog joint products, all for Mobility Support (see our Hilton Herbs dog joint reviews). And Hilton Herbs refunds only unopened items, so you can't judge it on your dog risk-free. MedPaw gives you 60 days from delivery, for any reason, with nothing to send back.
Why Hilton Herbs customers switch to MedPaw
Hilton Herbs vs MedPaw on the issues that matter day to day
| The issue | Hilton Herbs | MedPaw |
|---|---|---|
| Knowing what's in each dose | No amounts published | Main amounts per chew on the label |
| Breadth of joint actives | MSM only (Mobility Support); herbs otherwise | All six key joint actives, plus vitamins C and E and zinc |
| Giving it every day | Scoop or measure into food, ideally over two meals | Soft chew given from your hand like a treat |
| Trying it without risk | Refund only if unopened | 60-day money-back guarantee, nothing to send back |
Our recommendation: if you want a joint supplement with glucosamine, chondroitin, MSM, green-lipped mussel, hyaluronic acid and Boswellia, with the main amounts on the label and a guarantee that covers an opened tub, choose MedPaw. Give it six to eight weeks, and if you're not happy, email bark@medpaw.co.uk within 60 days of delivery for a refund. Try MedPaw Hip & Joint Chews.
When Hilton Herbs might suit your dog instead
To be fair to Hilton Herbs, it can be the better choice in some cases:
- Your dog can't have shellfish or chicken. MedPaw contains green-lipped mussel and is a chicken and bacon flavour chew. Supplement Solutions lists Mobility Support and Senior Dog Gold as herbal with no animal by-products. Check the pack and ask your vet.
- You'd rather give a liquid. Hilton Herbs says Senior Dog Gold can be given by oral syringe, which may be easier if your dog won't eat chews or treats.
- Your dog already takes it happily and is doing well. If it's working, there's no need to change.
Switching from Hilton Herbs to MedPaw
Swap rather than stack: stop Hilton Herbs and start MedPaw the next day. Mobility Support and MedPaw both contain MSM, so don't give both. Follow the feeding guide on the tub, doubling the usual number of chews for the first three weeks. If your dog takes any medication, check with your vet first.
If nothing has worked so far
If your dog is still stiff or sore after a fair trial of any supplement, see your vet. They may suggest pain relief, weight loss or an omega-3 fish oil at a proper dose, which has the strongest evidence for dogs with arthritis. Read what you can safely give a dog for joint pain and the best fish oil for dogs' joints.
More on the ingredients: devil's claw for dogs, MSM for dogs and green-lipped mussel for dogs.
Is MedPaw better than Hilton Herbs?
For most dogs, we think so. MedPaw is a soft chew with all six key joint actives, the main amounts per chew on the label and a 60-day money-back guarantee. Hilton Herbs' products are herbal blends with no published amounts, only one of the six key actives (MSM, in Mobility Support), and refunds only for unopened tubs.
What's the main difference between MedPaw and Hilton Herbs?
The formula. Hilton Herbs uses herbs such as devil's claw and meadowsweet, measured into food as a powder or liquid. MedPaw is a soft chew with glucosamine, chondroitin, MSM, green-lipped mussel, hyaluronic acid and Boswellia, plus vitamins C and E and zinc.
Does Hilton Herbs have a money-back guarantee?
We couldn't find one. Its refund policy covers only unopened, unused items returned within 30 days of purchase, at your cost. MedPaw has a 60-day money-back guarantee from delivery, for any reason, with nothing to send back.
Can I give MedPaw and Hilton Herbs together?
We don't recommend it. Swap rather than stack: stop Hilton Herbs and start MedPaw the next day. Mobility Support and MedPaw both contain MSM.
Is MedPaw suitable if my dog has a shellfish allergy?
No. MedPaw contains green-lipped mussel, a mollusc, and gluten from brewer's yeast. If your dog has a shellfish or gluten allergy, speak to your vet about which supplement to use.
Can I switch from Hilton Herbs to MedPaw straight away?
Yes. Stop Hilton Herbs and start MedPaw the next day. There's no need for a gap, and you shouldn't give both. Check with your vet first if your dog takes any medication.
